Amanda Ruby is one of AxessPointe Community Health Center’s Women’s Health Nurse Practitioners. She obtained her Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2006 from the University of Akron. She worked as a critical care nurse for ten years at Mercy Medical Center in Canton, Ohio in the Coronary Care Unit. She obtained her Master of Science in Nursing from Kent State University in 2015. Prior to joining AxessPointe, she trained to be a forensic nurse examiner and participated in the HAVEN program at Mercy Medical Center where she cared for patients of sexual assault and domestic violence. In her free time she enjoys spending time with her family and taking her dog Josie to the dog park.
