Sarah earned a Bachelor of Science from Muskingum University, double majoring in Neuroscience and Biology, and has seventeen years of management experience.
During her time with AxessPointe, she has coordinated three dental building projects and has been instrumental in the development of a dental mobile unit program which will arrive in the spring of 2021, in thanks to a $300,000 HRSA grant which was awarded in September. The dental department has increased the number of patients, encounters and also services offered, with the addition of endodontics in 2019. Her pursuit of grant opportunities has allowed for increases in quality of care and enrichment of preventative education.
Sarah’s impact has stretched beyond her department by chairing the 2019 Employee Engagement committee, as well as participating on high performance teams to streamline organizational processes and implement programs, training and resources for the organization.
Sarah is a member of the 2018 Torchbearers leadership class and active in volunteerism throughout Stark, Summit, Portage and Carroll counties. She serves as a board member for Embracing Futures and participates on advisory boards with HeadStart and Akron Public Schools. She prides herself in giving back through mentoring her team, as well as high school and college students. She has volunteered with Akron Public Schools, NEOMED, The Boys and Girls Club, Akron Snow Angels, Haven of Rest, Akron-Canton Regional Foodbank, Kent Social Services, the Salvation Army, HeadStart, Give Kids a Smile and Day of Dreams.
When Sarah is not in the clinic, you may find her relaxing with her husband Nick, two daughters, Izabelle and Maryssa or lending a hand at community events.
