Joselyn Vasquez is a bilingual Licensed Independent Social Worker with Twenty years of experience in various roles within field.  Prior to her work in Ohio she obtained her Bachelors degree from Mercy College and initiated her career in 2003 in New York City, where she provided individuals and families with a wide range of psychological and supportive services. She then obtained her Masters in Social Science Administration from Case Western Reserve University in 2012.  In 2015, she decided to focus on mental health and began working in a private practice that supports individuals and families going through difficult times.  In 2019, she opened her own private practice, where she continues to provide individual, couples and family therapy.  Through her sixteen years of service in child welfare, she has helped individuals and families cope with a variety of issues. She has extensive knowledge in developing reunification plans as well as permanency and concurrent planning.  Joselyn has also worked with bilingual families and has addressed immigration issues for youth in need of permanency, while collaborating and advocating through the juvenile court system.   Joselyn then also became an Adjunct Faculty member at Case Western Reserve University’s Mandel School of Applied Social Sciences in 2022, where she educates students in the graduate level program on Social Work Policy. She is constantly working to learn new ways to be an effective social justice leader and hopes to continue making a difference by advocating and providing bilingual services to an ever growing and much needed population in our community.
