Insurance Enrollment Assistance

Need help navigating Medicaid or Medicare? We provide free assistance in enrolling in both of these plans. Our Certified Application Counselors (CAC) meet with patients and community members for a private, one-on-one conversation about how to find a healthcare plan that fits their needs and budget.

We are happy to offer this service for free, though it helps to make an appointment in advance. The CAC you meet with will tell you what to bring to the appointment, such as your ID, proof of income, and address verification.

Personal Hygiene Closet

AxessPointe’s Personal Hygiene Closet provides patients with everyday personal items they need to feel their best. Soap, shampoo, toothpaste and toothbrushes, toilet paper, and many more types of toiletries are available currently at our Arlington and Barberton offices. We are in the process of opening a hygiene closet at our Kent location as well.

A clean home is important for infection control, accident prevention, and overall health. With regular and proper disinfection, you can remove microorganisms living on surfaces in your home before they can grow, spread, and cause disease. If you’re in need of cleaning supplies or other toiletries, let us know during your appointment with us.

Food Pantry

AxessPointe currently has two food pantries on site at our Arlington and Barberton locations, and an additional pantry will be added at our Kent office in early 2022.

We strive to provide healthy, nutritious options to our patients, which is why we partnered with the Akron-Canton Regional Foodbank to source this wholesome food. Our food pantries are open every day for AxessPointe patients and are open to the public on the third Saturday of every month from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.

Connections To Other Resources

Our Community Health Workers (CHWs) can connect our patients with other resources in the community, such as transportation assistance, housing support, and utility assistance. And thanks to our recent merger with Family & Community Services, patients can now receive help from a number of social services programs across our service area and beyond that address homelessness and housing issues, transportation gaps, food insecurity, domestic violence, behavioral health and addiction, and gaps in care for youth, seniors, and veterans. Learn more about their programs and services HERE.
