Karen Buyansky, LISW-S, brings over twenty years of expertise to the AxessPointe Community Health Centers Behavioral Health Team. She holds a Master of Social Science Administration from the Mandel School of Applied Social Sciences at Case Western Reserve University, and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Fine Art from Baldwin Wallace College. Recently, Karen completed Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) training through the EMDR International Association, expanding her skill set in trauma-informed care. Karen’s extensive background includes clinical assessments, diagnosis, and a range of counseling services for individuals, couples, families, and groups. Beyond her professional work, Karen actively volunteers with the American Red Cross as a Hero for Babies Blood Donor, is involved in her church, and supports the Cleveland Cultural Gardens. A multi-talented individual, Karen has received awards for her creative pursuits, including oil painting, sculpture, cake decorating, and even her canned pickles. She is also a certified scuba diver through both NAUI and PADI.
